Realizing the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds. ATL is an approach of Central government of India to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation, creativity amongst Indian Students. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
Atal Tinkering Labs are dedicated works spaces where students learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India. The labs are powered to acquaint students with state-of-the-art equipment such as 3D printers, robotics & electronics development tools, IoT & sensors etc. The lab activities are designed to spur the spark of creativity, and go beyond regular curriculum and text book learning. The labs will let students explore skills of future such as design and computational thinking, adaptive learning and artificial intelligence.
ATL is a workspace where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands-on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills. ATL lab would teach students essential 21st-century skills which will help them in developing their professional and personal skills. ATLs will be hubs of innovation where young minds will accelerate their ideas to solve unique local problems. It is a step towards a new India.
